After 26
successful years at AT&T
in Sales Management, Training,
and Human Resources, I decided to leave corporate life and
establish my own
company. In 1996 I started my own business by first focusing
on training and
business consulting. I then expanded into Personal and
Business Coaching.
At AT&T I had been very successful in business-to-business sales,
sales
management, training and personal development. While there I
had the privilege
of working with world class companies like GE, and the
“Best Practices”
concepts of Fortune 500 corporations. I was able to use
this valuable experience
in helping all sorts of people. I soon discovered that
many were looking for
someone who would work with them to develop their skills and
abilities.
I centered my new business around this need, and my business grew
quickly.
The
most enjoyable and rewarding part of my life has been
helping people in their
personal lives and in business. My
ability to help
and develop people has come from many areas: the corporate
experience,
42 years of marriage and raising five children, being an elder
in a
congregation, a public speaker and presenter for 35+ years,
and a
business owner. I am equally at home in front of a large
group, teaching
a seminar, or working one-on-one with someone who desires
to make
changes in their life. I love people and am dedicated to
helping them
discover their full potential and uniqueness.
The personal coaching profession has formalized much of what I
have
been doing throughout my life. I enrolled in Coach
University and graduated
in 1999. In 1998 I combined Corporate Training with Coaching
for the first
time. In 2003 I am expanding my Coaching business by opening
up more
time for additional coaching clients.
My
Philosophy in Life
I
believe most people are under a lot of pressure and
want to do well at
whatever they do. The world has gotten far too complex and we
need to
simplify. Far too often the "faster, faster,
faster” pace and the "more,
more, more" attitude of the business world robs us of our
joy, our
creativity and our excellence. We end up serving
deadlines, objectives, and
quotas instead of serving our clients, our families and
ourselves. We often
forget about what matters most as we surrender to the urgent
and the
demanding. We often lose our focus, our balance and our
satisfaction
in the process. We suffer, our relationships suffer, and
our families suffer
too. That’s why we need to pause, reflect, and make
meaningful changes.
While it takes courage to take this kind of action the rewards
are outstanding.
My
Personal Values
My
personal values are integrity, honesty, loyalty, excellence,
spirituality,
family, personal improvement, fun and humor. I encourage
people to discover
their real skills and talent, combined with their passion
and motivation. I
enjoy helping people identify their uniqueness and their
strengths, then
move ahead to realize their personal best. My goal is to bring
value to
everyone I meet and inspire them to discover their personal
best.
